Our property features a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and full-size stove, perfect for preparing your favorite meals. Enjoy the crisp weather in our private outdoor spaces, ideal for barbecues and relaxing evenings around the outdoor campfire. Cozy Doe Acres is just a five-minute drive from beautiful hiking trails (snowshoes are available for winter adventures), offering countless opportunities for exploration in the fall and winter. We provide kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) for your enjoyment (seasonal), while you relax in the sun in our comfortable waterfront outdoor spaces. The property also includes a wide driveway for your convenience, making it easy to access your ATVs, bicycles, or snowmobiles.

The chalet comfortably sleeps seven people in three spacious bedrooms and an extra bed in the study. With two beautiful full bathrooms, you’ll feel like you’re in a secure forest retreat. Every design detail, down to the vintage-style crystal door handles, has been carefully selected to delight the eye and soothe the senses. Cathedral ceilings create a sense of grandeur, and the combination of contemporary furnishings and warm wood tones makes the space both sophisticated and inviting, while retaining the authentic feel of a chalet.

It’s nearly impossible to be bored at Cozy Doe! During the summer, guests can enjoy a kayak ride or a swim in the river. Please note that to accommodate variations in the water level, the slope of the ramp leading to the dock may vary throughout the summer months. There is no gradual entry into the water. The depth is 20 feet directly from the dock.

Our fully enclosed veranda offers stunning views of the water; a perfect spot to enjoy a coffee and a book in the morning, or admire the sunset in the evening. Guests can stroll around the property to enjoy forest bathing or take a short walk to the nearby hiking and biking trails. In winter, our sloping driveway transforms into an excellent toboggan run, and the surrounding forest is ideal for a first snowshoeing experience, which we make available to our guests.

We offer a wide selection of board games in the chalet, but the real attraction at Cozy Doe is our 900 sq ft games room equipped with a pool table, ping-pong table, foosball table, and more. The games room is neither heated nor insulated in winter, but remains accessible.

The cottage is located on a private dirt road with a long, sloping driveway. Although the road is plowed in winter, conditions can be variable, and access to the cottage requires a four-wheel-drive vehicle and snow tires in inclement weather.

Grocery stores, the LCBO, and restaurants are a 15-minute drive away in the town of Buckhorn. Additional shopping and dining options are available in the nearby towns of Bobcaygeon and Lakefield, both 25 minutes from the property.

Please note that although there is cellular network and Wi-Fi on the property, we cannot guarantee an excellent connection at all times due to the remote location.
